TRA360 will be testing out HootSuite Pro for the month of May!

TRA360 has been using the basic (and free) version of HootSuite for about 18 months to regulate our social media channels. We have recently become one of HootSuite’s newest partners. As participants in the HootSuite Pro Solution Partner Program we will be testing the HootSuite “Pro” version for the next 30 days and keeping our readers up-to-date with our impressions; specifically, regarding the regulatory affairs and technical communications industries. For those of you who have yet to check out our past post about the company, HootSuite is a leading social media management system that enables organizations and businesses to reach ROI for their social media and digital campaigns. TRA360 intends to explore how using HootSuite can help our customers who are engaged in social media to reach their business goals.

Furthermore, we are especially interested in how professionals in Regulatory Affairs, Regulatory Operations, and Communications professionals in the life sciences and other regulated industries might benefit from using HootSuite Pro. Disclaimer: Our opinions about HootSuite Pro are strictly our own.

Before diving into the deep end headfirst, I wanted to highlight the additional features HootSuite Pro offers for just $5.99 per month:

  1. Collaboration – HootSuite Pro makes it easy to collaborate! With additional features such as adding up to 15 team members per account and message assignments, you won’t have a difficult time optimizing your team’s workflow.
  2. Analytics – Although the basic (and free) version of HootSuite already offers users quick reports, HootSuite Pro offers users social analytic reporting points. More on this next week.
  3. Support – Having technical problems and in need of support? No problem! Pro users are entitled to a help desk to assist with their technology needs.
  4. Social Storage – Social storage allows Pro users access to HootSuite archives which have 100 tweets included.
  5. Engagement – With access to unlimited social profiles, vanity URLs, Facebook and Twitter searches, Klout scores and an app directory, HootSuite Pro’s engagement features allow users to be fully engaged in their social media outlets 24/7.
  6. Features – Other features that Pro offers are “influences scores” and the “opt out of ads” feature. No more clutter!
Want to try Pro? Check it out for yourself here!

We look forward to sharing our experiences using HootSuite Pro with you over the next thirty days and will be writing a blog post per week about our experiences (four total). Stay tuned for the “First Impressions” post coming next week!

Relationship Building 101: Part III

Tip #3: Take notice and respond accordingly!

Congrats, you have made it this far in our mini-series of Relationship Building 101: How to build and establish relationships in your industry. Our final tip to help you on your way to becoming a pro relationship builder is:

Take notice and respond accordingly

Unfortunately, there are companies who have social media accounts but may not have the time or the knowledge to properly maintain them. However, by taking notice and responding to a re-tweet or Facebook comment, you are showing that you care. A “thank you” is sufficient, but in order to build relationships, conversation is key. Craft a response or question to that specific comment that will engage both parties. Building relationships can take time, but interaction through conversations and questions will help bring your relationship to the next level with clients or potential clients.

Thanks for checking out our blog series on relationship building. Make sure to keep checking back for new posts about social media, marketing and technical communications as they relate to the world of technology and innovation!

First, Do your homework by reading the industry trades and publications, following relevant news closely and be the first one to let your consumers know. One successful way to become a thought leader in your industry is to give daily or weekly free pieces of information out through various social media accounts (like Facebook or Twitter), blogs, or webinars. Give your consumers the information that they want to hear first! By giving related information or industry tips on a regular basis, you will begin to grow a following and become a trusted leader in your industry. After all, trust is a necessary element to any healthy relationship, professional or non-professional.

Relationship Building 101: How To Connect With Your Consumers (Pt. 1)

How do you build relationships with clients?

Relationships. We all have them in life that we strive to build and maintain. Whether it’s a relationship with a family member, friend, acquaintance or even a doctor, relationships are crucial in human interaction. Relationship building is no different when it comes to your clients and consumers. But why do companies struggle with this concept, especially when interacting through social media? By starting with the basics, you’ll be able to not only develop new relationships with potential consumers, but expand current relationships with existing clients.

Tip #1: Pay attention to the little things

Many business owners tend to be so wrapped up in their work that they can forget to pay attention to what is going on around them; especially when it comes to their own clients. Reaching out to clients for business-related topics are a given, but by taking the time out of your day to notice the little things can help relationship building. That new case study they just launched? How about that thought-provoking tweet that appeared on your Twitter feed this morning? By taking the time to pay attention and respond to the seemingly insignificant things can actually make a difference in your relationship. A little effort can go a long way in growing relationships!

Stay tuned for more tips on how to connect with your consumers coming next week!
